It depends who the target audience is though... if they intend it for an older audience (i.e they believe its for mature audiences) they can always put it on a different time..like around 8.30pm or something.. ^^;; \ Hmmm....yeah but the only problem with that is the main target audience would be people who have already seen the other dubbed versions, and so if they DO keep most of it intact with it's adult content then everyone will be like "what the..., what happened to the childish ways of the show..." The overall feel of the series would then be changed and they would lose their original fan base in the US and english countries (being children), despite picking up a smaller new audience.

XD Yeah most likely, althought with the dubs being as they are it might have been for the better, hehe. At least the S and SuperS came in uncut dub forms unlike DiC's shoddy job.

Sailormoon, being dubbed and aired on tv has become very popular among the younger audience and has also introduced this different form of 'cartoon' (anime) to the western society which I thought was great. I supose I was part of their tagret audience back then..now able to explore the original story and watching the other seasons in the original version made me like this series much much more =)
In the end, I think what I'm most annoyed about the dubbed, is that many who(are a lot older now and not seen the dubbed version at a younger age) have only heard of the dubbed version really dislike the anime "Sailormoon" because of how child-ish it is, with the dubbed version not giving justice to the original anime.

Yes thats true, it is associated with young kids. I remember a couple of my friends thinking "WTF!" when they saw my Heart Collection DVD's, lol.

OMG.. I got a taste of Sailor S English dub.... it's HORRID!~ O____O It's really bad, and watching "Amara" and "Michelle" communicate was really dull..their voices were so plain it didn't bring out any of the characters to life... not to mention to horrible script, making them cousins....;_;

Agree "Amara" and "Michelle" voices were terrible and the cousins thing...my god. I thought it wasn't that bad like in season 1 where Kunzite and Zosite were gay lovers so that changed Zosite to a girl... at least they didn't change "Amara" to a guy...now that's freaky

We all know that the dub was a travesty yes, but the ONLY good thing about it was that it introduced me to anime at a very young age, and for the people who whine about not being able to understand it in Japanese, thats why you can get SUBTITLES, for S and SuperS officially, and bootleg copies for the other seasons, hey, its better than nothing, and eventually you can buy the official original unsubbed Japanese, im buying them now because ive seen the subbed versions SO many times, and its good to get the official merchandise to support it.

The SMSS dub was horrifying.... every few seconds I would cringe..thinking 'how much longer can I watch this?' x.x
I hate it how they changed the attack names and all that...even the transformation speech :/ was it..necessary?
