Hey I was thinking... with some suttle changes in Usagi's hectic life as the Champion of love and justice, wouldn't she have been better off with turning Prince Demmando into a good guy and dumping Mamoru?

umm.. no.. Cause I dont like Prince Diamond that much anyway.. surely it was sad to see him die,. just when he turns good~ but Mamoru will always be the one with Usagi. What's wrong with Mamoru anyway?

He does seem to be a sweet guy and all, but he seems a little too cold towards Usagi. Very few times doe he show romantic tenedecies towards her. He also has in mind that if he doesn't marry her, he loses his claim to the throne... I might just be overly suspicious, but I think he's not exactly in love with Usagi's personality. But then again, I've only seen the English version...

I mean, Mamoru isn't the most interesting guy.. I agree.. cause he doesnt do much >.> I don't agree with this ^^;; Cause he is the Prince of the earth anyway, regardless he marries Usagi or not. I;m sure he's with her because their love (If you watch Live Action, It shows it a lot better there) That's one of the main themes of this anime, love and freindship.. Prince Diamond is no better than Mamoru... I'd think if there was another rival for Usagi; it'd be Seiya. Too bad Seiya ia a girl... (though it doesnt seem Usagi minds the gender thing) Its just that usagi's love for Mamoru is stronger.

No... she's in love with him...Plus, Mamoru is a good guy Which situations are you referring to? If you are referring to when Mamoru has the dream, you have to understand he was doing it for her..it was painful for him too. Maybe because he's older and more mature. He's in college yet he dates a girl in high school~

I have to rememeber in Sailor Moon R he was under ChibiUsa's spell and lost all his love for Usagi but did break the spell near the end of the season.
Mamoru and Usagi will always be together... like... um... Romeo and Juliet! Except they come back to life after dieing ^^;

but he seems a little too cold towards Usagi. that's actually funny you brought that up. In many anime, the 'guy' that falls in love with the girl or ends up being with the girl tends to be cold toward the person.

Interesting article you found there sailorfire..
However, the English dubbed did it make sound like Mamoru only loved Usagi once they actually remembered their 'past'; but as the article said, Takeuchi Naoko manga shows that Mamoru loves Usagi, not because she was Princess Serenity.
Let me add more to what I had said previously; Mamoru doesnt seem like the kind of guy who cares about royalty and power. >> I'm sure he'd give up all that just to be with her. Where in the series, does it suggest Mamoru cares so much about the throne?
