WAAHHH THIS IS AMAZING NEWS!!!!!!! This year's 34th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine will announce next Wednesday that an Inuyasha Kanketsu-hen (Inuyasha Final Chapter) television adaptation of Rumiko Takahashi's manga has been green-lit. The anime will broadcast on Japan's YTV this fall and cover the story in volumes 36 to 56 of the manga — the final 21 compiled book volumes. The original staff and cast will reunite for the new anime adaptation.
Shonen Sunday had promised earlier this month that it will be including a special news announcement about Inuyasha in issue #34. Takahashi had ended the Inuyasha manga in the same magazine last June. She has been serializing a new manga called RIN-NE (Kyōkai no Rinne) in the magazine as well as on TheRumicWorld.com website for North America readers since April 22. Viz Media has been releasing the Inuyasha manga in North America, and it has also released the original 2000-2004 television anime adaptation.

I found dl for this here: www.bleachexile.com/multimedia/inuyasha-the-final-act-anime-downloads/I started downloading today and watched the first 4 episodes, and I gotta say I have some mixed feelings.. It's been about 3-4 years since I watched the previous last episode (Ep 166) and so suddenly continuing feels a bit weird. I was surprised there wasn't any kind of "summary" to refresh our memory on what happened. But then again, nothing really "happens" in Inuyasha so in that sense it's okay. Gotta say the episodes so far feel pretty generic and not much apart from the usual happens. They're after Naraku, and the characters do what they normally do again ^^; It feels quite repetitive and the characters are pretty predictable in terms of what they say and how they respond to things. Guess that's good o' Inuyasha. I really hope something interesting happens soon. I'm missing the chemistry between Inuyasha and Kagome. Come on, something intense should happen soon, right? XD Anyone else watching or seen this?

I watched up to episode 3 and kinda got side-tracked. It did seem strange to me since I haven't seen the last episode of the original series in a while. I do like the ending themes ^^
