The anime well 'animefies' for a lack of a better word alot of things, like Naru's punch as a typical over done punch line. Alot of the eps are typical anime fillers too just with Love Hina characters. Which is okay I suppose since they wanted to be somewhat different from the manga. But once again I can't say enough how much better the manga is. It's good that you're watching the anime first though cause you'd likely think is was crap if you started with the manga. I watched it series first too, and loved it ^^; Now it's meh.
Naru comes of and very unreasonable and selfish in the anime too, she does hit Keitaro too much and too often just for the sake of a running gag. And she really gives very little indication that she actually does love Keitaro and just ends up being a general b***h. Manga Naru is much nicer, she still lays the smack down but not unreasonably.
Umm also I would encourage you to find the scanlations too, since Tokyopop is blrag in my opinon. But once again if you only read the comercail version you shouldn't feel any worse.

Thanks for the advice and stuff ^^ I've watched up to the 2nd last episode.....and I must say I'm enjoying it heaps; much better than I had expected! Some parts were rather predictable though (who Keitaro's childhood friend was) but ah wells XD Otohime is really really wacko and funny...lol.. Love the way she just faints and ends up being out of place and stuff, though she appears too frequent towards the end and can get a little annoying. Oh yes, you know that episode when Naru becomes a popstar? It agave me the impression they were trying to advertise Character Vocals and stuff.. is there such thing? (I wouldnt know) Found it sorta cute in another ep where the girls each take turn to sing the opening theme. P.S Did I mention the English dubbed sounds.... @_@?

I finished the episodes a while ago, and I watched the Spring Special yesterday~ I was a little disappointed with the OVA since not much really happened and it got a little carried away. Not saying its not good- there were still some memorable scenes and funny moments, but it could have been better. I thought Shinobu was going to tell Keitaro, but turns out she doesnt XD It would have been nicer if the other characters got more screening time, such as Kitsune and Motoki.

Has anyone seen the Love Live Hina concert? I downloaded the live in Osaka concert last night.... it's..... weird! lol.... I liked a few of the songs, I liked both of Mutsumi's songs, Su's song after Mutsumi's first and Shinobu's character song was cute... but the singers didn't really look like the characters.... It was just the Hinata girls (plus Haruka and Mutsumi), no Keitaro. I think I would have prefered it if it was more like Sera Myu, with some acting between the characters as well as songs... Actually, the woman playing Haruka had quite a good voice. Ok, so the songs weren't bad, I haven't seen the anime, but it seems like most of the songs were from there (correct me if I'm wrong cause I don't know)... But yeah... the audience seemed a little old for a Love Hina concert if you ask me.... lol Anyway.... screenies! The start Naru, and Naru at the end singing 'Happy Happy Rice Shower' dressed as a bride(or a bridesmaid) Motoko She had a good voice Kitsune I wasn't too impressed by her Shinobu, and Shinobu singing her image song... she was cute Su introducing herself, and Su singing Mutsumi's first song... altogther now... "Kame Yo!" Haruka Wearing Kimono's for the last song! Cute! So that's it... I wasn't impressed by Kitsune. You know who would have done a better job? TAKAGI NAO! lol... Also there should have been more dancing, they were just singing and jumping round the stage... not actually dancing....

Hm...well, I get what you mean SC, though I haven't seen it, so I can't give much of an opinion. They could've at least tried to make the "singers" look like the Love Hina cast a little bit more...at first glance, I didn't really get which character they were. XD It's kinda like, how would you know.... is It's a unusual connection, besides the fact that they come out and say who they are, right?

it was on boxtorrents.com, in the live action category (it's easy to find cause there are only 3 pages of live action...) there are two, one live in osaka, and the other live somewhere else (the screenies are from the osaka concert).... The only character I got without them introducing themseleves was Kitsune... Motoko I might have guessed as she was older than the others but the other 3 were just kids so I wouldn't have guessed without them saying. They could have at least worn wigs! But yeah.... it was kind of cute. Do look at the audience when you get a chance though, they're all guys in their early 20's it seems.... at least the ones at the front are: This cap taken during Shinobu's character song... I definitely like some songs better than others though...

ahhh! It suddenly becomes clear! The women on stage are the characters seiyuu!! So even though they don't look like the characters, they still sound like them...
....still, is a wig so much to ask?.... hehe
Edit: Although...... according to IMDB, the seiyuu for Shinobu, Masayo Kurata (who is definitely the girl in the concert), was born in 1969! But this concert can't be that old cause the Love Hina anime series didn't start til 2000... so she'd be at least 31! Look at her! That can't be right, it makes her 2 years older than Junko Noda (Kitsune), 7 years older than Yui Horie (Naru), 6 years older than Asakawa Yu(u) (Motoko) and 4 years older than Reiko Takagi (Su) Making her the oldest Hinata Girl.......

errr..........LOL... that doesnt make sense, does it? hehee... hmm...
A while ago, I've watched the Xmas Special, and I thought it was good, but too similiar to the Spring one, in terms of the two trying to find/meet up with each other (Kei and Naru) and the rest of the crew are split up around the world trying to find them. It would be better if it was more different and unpredictable. It was still a good watch though..

errr.. I finally watched the Live Hina Concert thing... its so O.o....like.. I donno XD The dancing was weird.. and like, the audience is like..all old men ^^;; What the heck? Are old men their target audience? No offence but some of the voice actors dont look very nice... the lady who did the voice for Shinobu was creepy x.x Ive recognised a few of the songs~ I didn't know Haruka did the ending theme song ^^;; But yeh, Kitsune's voice sound most distinctive, as in~ it was easy to tell she was Kitsune's seiyuu.

I agree with Jen about 'Live Hina'... it was just so weird!
