The anime is repeatitive... - - or rather its full of "filler" type episodes where absolutely no plot/character development occurs. Or at least thats the impression I got.

Love You" check it out sometime i heard they r good, but i never seen them b4 so i'm not sure ^.^'

I'm really enjoying the manga, I need to buy more! My fave character is Kitsune! She rocks! I have the first 3 volumes of Love Hina... the drawings on the front of the girls (usually wearing less-than-little) put me off for ages, but then when I finally did read it, I wondered why they'd chosen to design it like that because it's not what it looks like (there's more nudity in Ranma 1/2 than in Love Hina). It's rather amusing really, poor, poor Keitaro! Timing is not his forté! The look on Kitsune's face when he first runs into her (literally) will stay with me forever... Edit: This from lovehina.bandai-ent.com is weird..... 'Mitsune got her nick-name of "Kitsune" (Sly Fox) because of her tendency to cause trouble playing jokes and pulling other pranks on her fellow residents. She is perpetually trying to keep things interesting for herself and consequentially makes life at Hinata boisterous for all the other residents!' According to the manga, she got the nickname because her face looks like a fox's... I think she's less of a prankster in the manga too, she's rather partial to a drink though and is shown drunk on at least one occasion (as far as I've read).... I've not seen the anime, but do they change her character then cause they don't want to show characters drunk?? Here's Kitsune looking more like her nickname...

I've just started to watch Love Hina ^^ So far I've watched the first 6 episodes and it seems pretty pleasant The characters seem pretty funny and have very different personalities. I really liked Shinobu, she was just..really cute and little ^^; The character I dislike most so far is Motoko.. she's just irrational.. and her character seems pretty flat at the moment (Of course, this could change, but its what i think of her so far) I think what makes me continue watching it, is that its quite light, and after watching something quite heavy (i.e Gravitation) its nice to see something more basic? O.o Also, there's that childhood promise ^^ I have a question... does Naru normally wear contacts or something? XD How come she and Keitaro could hardly see anything without their glasses? But Naru doesnt normally wear glasses anyway (apart from those wacko ones she uses at school) Does that mean she can't see his face? O.o

Naru supposedly wears contacts outside most of the time but it's not terrible consitant especially in the anime ^^;; I would highly recommned the manga over the anime though, it is at least ten time better. It was kinda like my first love for manga too, the start of my collection X3
Motoko rocks though! ROX I TELL YOU! She doesn't get much time in the anime but she's probably the character that evolves the most in the manga.

Does the manga follow the same storyline, but is in more depth? or is it pretty much different, though the overall plot is the same? How many vols are there?

Hm is hard to say, the anime is based of the manga and supposedly follows through till volume 6 but doens't do so very well. The base plot with the 'promised girl' and Todai is the same though. All the characters have way more depth though and the funnies are heaps better. So is the art (although its not so great in the first few volumes). Well actually everything is just better. Cept the sound track <.<;
There's 14 volumes int he series, I think all are out in Kino. So if you were me you'd buy them all at once XD But if you're not so inclinded to buy first then I can lend you some provided I get them back all shiny and pretty.

hehheee.. I'll have to see ^^; (Spent too much for the past few weeks Im broke XD) ahhh..what can I say? I watched 10 episodes today (currently up to episode 17)...It turns out to be a pretty good series to me ^^; Its better than I had expected. I found the episodes pleasant and the characters are heaps funny. You're right Blox, I've started to like Motoki's character a lot more than before and she does have a lot of character development. I like all the randomness in the series... like the part where Motoki and the others have the dream being in an RPG World...lol.. that was such a cute idea~ and we see Shinobu immitating Sailor Chibimoon XD Then there's that little part with Keitaro inking manga....lol...The Mystery story was sorta funny too..... Kitsune was very suspicious! hehehe... Shes really cheeky and has so much up her sleeve... I like Keitaro cause he does seem like a all-round decent guy, though he is always mistaken as a pervert (doesnt seem like he had control over most things XD) I'm fine with the filler episodes, but I guess what annoys me most is the constant bashing.. I think Naru went overboard ^^;; There were many cases where it wasn't necessary, and its just so predictable she or Motoki will pop up and bash the guy. I mean, he does have bad timing, and do things which are a no-no.. but other times he's mistaken for doing things he obviously wasnt doing. I guess that repetition is getting to me a little.
