Who has heard of CLAMPS' famous anime series Card Captor Sakura? (yes yes, this is the original name, but the English dubbed named it only 'Card Captors')
The characters in here are pretty cute. ^^; it's funny because they start off in grade 4, and yet they get into romance... it's an interesting, magical series everyone should try to get hold of. Oh yeah, must I add the movies are a MUST see!~ Particulary the 2nd movie (which is also the final ending)
If you've watched it, feel free to comment on it.

Movie 1: = = = It was just another day for Sakura, who, with Tomoyo, went inside a store to buy herself a new notebook for homework. Her timing couldn't be more perfect--the store was having a contest, where customers could draw for a prize. As good fortune would have it, Sakura managed to pull out the golden ball--thus winning her the grand prize: a trip to Hong Kong!
Not used to having such luck, Sakura ecstatically prepares for her vacation trip. But something strange is going on. The dreams she had been having about water, turn into living nightmares as she reaches Hong Kong. Everyday, even stranger events occur to Sakura...leading her to believe that her vacation trip was brought about by no mere coincidence.
In Hong Kong, she meets Shaoran and Meilin-chan. But why is Shaoran's mother so interested in her? And what are the predictions and dreams that accompany her? Who is that strange apparition in her dream? What? Are there cards in Hong Kong as well?
= = =
I think this movie is not as good as the second movie, though it is still, nevertheless a great movie to watch! This movie takes place after Season 1, through their breaks.
Movie 2 ( The true ending ): The Enchanted Card This movie takes places at the end of the whole anime.
Having seen a good portion of the Card Captor Sakura tv series as well as the first movie, I can easily say that this latest and last movie is the best of the crop! The high level of emotion and perfect animation breaks new ground for the series, for CLAMP it's creators, and for anime in general. Whereas the TV series always combined battles, humor, and great shoujo storytelling, this movie puts the emotions first.
Taking off where the TV series ended, Sakura is noticably missing Shaoran who had returned to Hong Kong. Adding to this pressure, some strange new enemy is making her cards disappear, leaving Sakura feeling helpless and confused. But even when Shaoran and Meiling return, Sakura just can't get up the nerve to admit her feelings for him. As the town of Tomoeda prepares for its spring festival, Sakura rehearses for her lead role in their play, Princess Nadeshiko....but the mysterious enemy, a small girl with long flowing hair... has other plans for her! Sakura must resolve her feelings in order to spare the town.... showing just how much she has grown and matured.
I can't praise this film enough for its amazing animation and captivating drama! Time and time again I was speechless as I viewed the animation, the simple act of girls walking under a shady tree, the completely fluid movement of a high speed roller coaster.... all depicted absolutely flawlessly. My highest praise to CLAMP for their vision, and dedication to their fans to want to please them with this masterwork!

I would definately prefer it in Japanese than in English.
1. It sounds better 2. It's the original (no modifications) 3. The U.S Dubbed is really crappy. The things they say are really lame (sorry, no offense) 4. There's subtitles, so- no worries, right?

I understand what you mean. I had a little trouble myself at first, but if you watch it like twice, you would get the hang of it, and you would really appreciate the original version (even though readin subtitles can get a bit annoying) Even so, when I watch Ah! My Goddess (the movie)- there's English and Japanese, but I would go for the Jap. What do you think of the plot? I mean I've only watched the English Dubbed version of the episodes, and they modified so much of the original story I mean... I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing... the original one does have a lot of strange relationships between the characters. For example Tomoyo is actually obsessed with Sakura. ^_^;;; But still! We should all appreciate the O*R*G*I*N*A*L right?

hmm..its really hard to say whether the original should be appreciated...since we can't understand the creators intentions. does it have a moral by defying religious morals? Was there really any point incorporating these values as in many anime/manga cartoon. or are they just preverted ....no offense ...i just need a reason.... does anyone know what im talkin bout ...if not..... moderator ...do ur worst ..to this message...burn it hmmm..this really should be in teh original vs dubbed version discussion...

The only bad thing about living in the US is that they don't show some episodes. I missed a few of them. But I taped most of them too. Like the final test, with Eriol and Sakura
