I was awhile ago I finished watching the series and the ending was hardly satisfiying, but I wasn't really expecting it to be after the end of Ranma 1/2 <.< I haven't touched the manga at all though so is it very differnt? Does actually..like end??

*semi-spoilerish*
The movies aren't related to anything (like most anime movies) They're pretty much just big filer eps. Although the 2nd movie tries to trick you into thinking it ends everything nicely which is more then annoying >.< As for the series it ends, but concludes nothing. Sure they get some shiney new toys but all the characters are pretty much back to where they always were, chasing after a really really really really annoying badguy. Person I don't like these kind of things dragging out over 160+ eps and ending up back in the same place, so needless to say it's dissapointing. But it wasn't unexpected either, tis Rumiko after all. I generally like it when they finish off one bad guy then move on instead of chasing the same one for a million years, that reminds of the cookie cutter saturday morning cartoons rather then a well written plot which I tend to expect from anime. But hey, it get the cash so I'm nobody to complain. Don't get me wrong I like most of the charaters it'd just me nice to actually see them develope more, I've seen ten times more character growth in a 13 ep series then it takes Inuyasha 100 eps to get at.

To the best of my knowledge, the manga is still being actively written; there is no conclusion (yet).

That's kind of good news ^_^ But it might take a very long time until I get to read it.. Hopefully it'd be like Ranma Manga with a conclusion.

If there's another movie (Inuyasha Movie 4), that is not out yet...but the series has finished..that just gives the hint of the anime ending being incomplete... hopefully Movie 4 would end the series...altogether.

me! me! I'm still reading the manga!!! Well, some parts are quite different with the series, series contains a lot of extra mini stories while Manga focuses more about Naraku's youkai.... Tat's why i prefer the series tho... but all are NICE!! As long as Inuyasha is with KAgome!

OMG!!! I finally finished the anime!! oh..I cant believe how loose the ends are tied... XD I know, I was already warned on several occassions and told myself not to anticipate too much..but , like..wth? o.O Like.... the anime didnt have to end..lol... While I LIKE what happened during the "last battle" and etc...it didn't have to end there.. I would agree too that I like the bad guys who die in the episodes, instead of chasing after them for over many episodes.. but overall, this anime was awesome. I just love it..and it feels really tempting to read the manga to find out what happens...*sigh* Next stop is Movie 4...gotta watch that sometime, though I doubt it has any connection to the actual plot. The last few episodes of Inuyasha were really good though.
