Well? Mine is Kitagawa Keiko, Mars. I think she put the most effort into her character, and kind of got ripped off in the special. She was the only one with a beleivable proformance of pain of Minako died. Her Mars was amazing, she truly became the character.

hmm.. a little tricky.. but I would say Sawai Miyuu as SailorMoon... This is sorta biased, as Sailormoon is my favourite character in the anime XD I think Miyuu suits her role really well, and she looked so cute and innocent.. especally episode 1. She also looks good in the senshi form, where as Komatsu Ayaka(Minako/Venus) looked quite artificial in her outfit (and wig). Ayaka sorta annoyed me a bit..talking about the actress, not really the character in the series.. cause like in the Making of Sailormoon (Act0) see how she introduces herself? Sticks her tongue out while waving her hands.. donno.. seems like a try hard- sorta.. (no offence to Ayaka lovers) Her acting is good though..kinda the only one at the beginning who pronounced venus like "venus" instead of with a b sound. I guess she and Chisaki (Ami) know how to look cute when they want to. XD Like the part where Minako sits in her car when she sees Zoicite. Kitagawa Keiko (Mars)'s acting was good, she seemed quite believable compared to the others.. She actually looks like she has a personality; esp the part where she's arguing with Minako XD I was like.. 'go mars!!'.. Venus seemed kinda mean at that point.. I sorta disliked Minako when she was bossy to Rei, telling her to leave the group just because they had conflicting views. Oh wells, thats sorta off track since this topic is talking about the actors, not the characters...lol

I'd say it's rather hard to choose (esp know with 20 options ) I'd probably take off Yamaguchi Kappei - Artemis and Keiko Han - Luna off..lol. Uhm..I liked most of the characters because the acting suited their role quite well. *thinks for a while* hm..can't decide, the actual roles they play influences my decision. E.g Ayaka - I like her when she's Sailor V and Aino Minko, but not as much when she's sailor venus..lol Anyways, i probably have to choose Miyuu too because she made me like Usagi a lot more compared to the anime =) Other favourites: the four generals and Usagi's mother.

hm...favorite...I say..Shibue Jouji (Mamoru/Kamen) Just because...at the beginning...his character just seemed to annoy me, like during the actual series. But, as the series went on, I just couldn't stop watching the series because I wanted to see his scenes. ^^" (Maybe I got more attracted to his face...*ahem*)
Other from him, I'd say Komatsu Ayaka. I think she did quite a good job while she was Aino Minako. It's actuall kinda cool how they made her an actual singer...like, compared to the anime where she wants to become a singer. ^^"

I liked how in the anime she had a dream, while the PGSM she really didn't have a dream since she already was a singer... it kind of made her character a little to fake for me. And since she didn't have a dream, she was very outer-senshi like and really cared more about her "destiny" then life.

I kinda liked how she was a singer; but then she seemed sorta..how do I put it "up-herself" with the whole "I'm a singer' sorta feeling O.o I disliked the part where Minako gave the impression that she's more rich and 'therefore-I'm-better-and-more-caring' sorta of attitude. I'm referring to the episode after Mars and Venus rivalary at the church. Rei brought along dog food for "Taro", and when Minako saw, she went off to buy "First-class brand- dog food" for "Rikki"... True, its probabaly just a rivalry thing between them, but the fact she says its' 'first-class' dogfood; I just thought she seemed too full of herself as a singer status.

*may contains spoilers*
eheh..quite true, but eh..that's her in the story xD A character created that the mission was more important than herself (much like the part at the church where she told off SailorMars for caring about her than their duty to destroy the youmas)..an idol who is actually sick. Its nice to see the other senshi reach their dreams in Special Act =)

It's a toss up between Ayaka-chan and Keiko-chan for me. Mars has always been my favourite charater in the series so i'll try not to be biased, but i believe that Keiko gave the part justice. She gave her performance with a lot of emotion and i cried with her when Minako left (did she actually die? i thought she just left cause she chose not to have the operation...). Ayaka's performance was equally good. I agree that her work as Minako was a lot better than as Venus and Sailor V. I liked her character in this rather than the anime cause it makes her out to seem a lot stronger emotionally and a lot more mature. I probably shouldnt be mentioning so many characters but while we're on the topic, i loved the acting of all the actors who played the Four Shittenou. Jadeite, although a young actor, played the part really well and his loyalty to Beryl was unmatched, especially at the end when he decides to stay with her. Oh and can't forget that evil smirk he pulled on many occassions. Nephrite was hard for me to enjoy because he was so different to his anime image. Instead of being quite calm and collect in the anime, he was at times a raving lunatic in the live action. I would have to say that i liked his character better in the live action though as i feel it better balances out the four of them. The determination in the young actor's eyes in certain scenes was very believable. Zoisite was one of my favourite of the four, his dedication to his master was unmatched and, as with Nephrite, his character was slighty different to as he was portrayed in the anime. I could really empathise with the character and so well done to his actor. Kunzite, my other favourite shittenou. The actor who played Kunzite was one of my favourite in the series. He suited the role perfectly and i don't think they could have made a better choice to play the character. You could just tell by the look on his face that he was going to betray Beryl and his body language, words, and looks, made him a very believable leader of the Shittenou. Well i've raved on enough, just wanted to get that off my chest...

Like DJ D-Fect it's between Ayaka and Keiko but I voted Keiko because I thought she was a great actress during the very emotional scenes. I've got nothing else....
