I was flipping though my USA NewType Jan Edition Magazine.. and came across a page featuring the anime [Magical Canon] I actually thought it was [Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha]
The characters and concepts seem way to similiar >.< I've watched the first episode of [Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha] and it reminds me of CCS >.> Ok, I know- there's heaps of anime out there about a superheroine, with a mascot (pet/animal).. holding onto some wand, and in some cases, transform (Like Sailormoon and Wedding Peach)- but it's bothering..

as long as there are girls who love cutesy things, there will be magical girl animes, it's an unfortunate fact of life.

I kinda think it's more a fact of people running out of ideas. What they do is take people's already existing ideas, and just change it a little. ^_^"

Hmmm well I really don't think you fault people for making new magical girl shows. I mean it's pretty much a genre so it's like saying they should stop making mecha because there's already Gundam. It's just the matter if they're something different or just another clone. Nanoha is pretty different from CCS if you watch all of it, the main focus revolves around the main chic and her rival, collecting the random crap is just a cheap side plot. Esenitally it's conflict character based and with some nice eye candy fights so it's really not a bad show. In the end I guess it does kind of matter what kind of person you are. Alot of people like more of the same, which is why there will enevatibly be always be a fighting show, a love-love show, a mecha show and so on. These creators have to make a living before anything, after all it's pretty brave for a company to make something weird and hope it's popular because most of the time, it's not. Classics like Trigun and Ghost in the Shell were really popular overseas but didn't do well in Japan so it's hard for producers who want to do something radical.

lol, yes, Haruka has the same hairstyle more more or less when she's younger. There was also another anime with chibis and another character also had that style. (I think Sakura had a pic of her in her signature before?) I forgot what it was called. Only watched a little bit of it a while ago.
