it's been a while till I rewatched the last episodes of Fruits Basket, but after watching it, I'm more convinced that the person I talked of before (in the 2nd last episode - who appears after Akito leaves Honda) is Shigure not Kyo's master. The fringe is the same, darker hair and sounds like him too, I'd post up a screen shot but windows XP doesn't allow me to do this. lol...I got fooled there...what Shigure said really did not seem like himself, it didn't sound like he would say stuff like that. It was rather ambiguous now to that about it. After re-watching it though, I don't quite think he looks like any one of them...lol, and his voice has changed- a total different side to Shigure-

that was where I thought people got the feeling that Shigure was not himself (hiding things and maybe evil) since he's joyful throughout most of the series. I'm thinking that Shigured hoped that Honda lifted all the cursed people's spirits and somehow escape Akito's rath. Although it seemed next to impossible, Honda was probably Shigure and everyone's only hope, yet she was suffering alot so Shigure was stuck between he's own desires and how he feels for Honda (this is what I thought of from his speech at that scene - I should post it up sometime )

I was wondering, the Souma family must of had a hard time growing up and going to school and all because of their curse, so it's understandable they don't make much friends at school..not close ones at least. This makes me wonder..why Tohru only has two (a little odd) friends? = = = Here's another cute picture I found of Yuuki:

Erm... Zoo? I don't think so fallen_angel. They don't work the other way around..animals hugging humans of the opposite sex? It's not like Ranma 1/2 where it works one way or the other. The Sohma family is cursed ((you do know that right?)) They are pretty much lonely, which makes the story sad... since they also don't (or can't) have too much interation with other people in case they find out about their curse. It is said that the Sohma family is big,(i.e they have lots of relos) , yet only the ones who live at Akito's place know about the curse. Remember that Hatori (the dragon) and his relationship with his assistance (also a 'Sohma')- who had no idea about the curse.

oh yes, yuki and akito looks pretty much the same... don't you think that akito's voice is so gay? sounds like a girl the first time i heard it i was like was that a girl who just spoke? ............................ about Akito In the manga....I derno about the anime...but Akito is actually a girl.... *Warning* Here's a picture of Akito naked in front of a mirror: img.photobucket.com/albums/v127/samccx/Akitowoman.jpgAHHHHHH!!!! What in the world??? It was so misleading in the anime when they referred to Akito as a "him" Here's an extract taken from someone's thoughts about Akito. I think it starts to make more sense about the way Akito behaved... :

Woah! That is so fascinating!!!! Very very interesting...! I was wondering- since when did Akito become a girl?...... Those thoughts could explain it I guess.... but, trained to be a guy? I wonder why Akito needed to be a guy to begin with >.> Unless they're suggetsing that Akito is the "God" of the jyuunishi... just like the myth says...

Maybe it's something to do with following the traditional male as the head... I'm currently collecting the English manga of the series..*excited to find out the differences, extended ending and meet the other too zodiac animals*. It appears more obvious that Shigure isn't the happy-go-lucky type he appears in the anime and he is definetly doing something with Akito. There's constant references from Hatori and about how Shigure and Akito using Tohru for selfish reasons....(yet to find out). Shigure also visits Akito very frequently, and Shigure doesn't seem to be scared of him at all...saying "you're pathetic" ((did I say this before in previous posts? ))

That's great! ^^ It makes it a lot more exciting, and Shigure is definately one of those interesting characters, with more to him than just his perverted/humorous side.
On another note, I love how Shigure and Ayame act really gay together..lol It's so funny ^___^ They are such good friends.

Just love ho Ayame's hair in braids swing from side to side when he runs up to Shigure. Hatori must be embarassed by the two a lot in school. I'd think Ayame is also a little perverted...I mean- hiding in Tohru's clothes??? Hatori is a really like-able character and he seems to get along really well with most members. It's quite adorable how Ayame looks up to him and obeys every orders, with Hatori acting as his babysitter. Hatori also seems to appear quite often with Momiji around. Seems like Yuuki is the only member who really hates Kyou..glad to see the others "accept" him.

Cat and rat just don't mix. That's one thing I don't like about Yuki.. he's so mean to Kyou, more slack than Kyou is to the rat. I mean, Kyou just wants to fight him, but Yuki is more insulting. >.> Kyou always end up the losing one. I read off somewhere that apparently at the beginning, Hatori didnt have much fans.. they didnt like him. But then afterwards we became a popular character in Fruits Basket indeed.

I’ve just finish reading up to Volume 6 (Momiji on the cover) which is Chapter 31-35, and I feel it’s quite interesting that it’s more the number of episodes in the anime, yet not quite up to it..so they must of shorten heaps in the anime. *Warning: Contains spoilers on the Anime ending* They had the ending of the anime within these chapters (but not all the anime episodes are shown yet- but appearing later in the book e.g haven’t met Sheep or monkey-san yet), but showed the Kyou and his true form stuff. In the anime, it appears more significant and makes Kyou a more important character since it focuses on him towards the end of the anime. A lot of extra stuff was added to the anime, but not in the manga, such as when Tohru was vomiting- Akito didn’t appear, nor Kyou’s master. The part where Tohru wonders off and her friends find her weren’t in the manga. Basically, all that happen was Kyou changed into his true form, Tohru went after him, changed him back (very similar to the anime) and carried the cat in her arms back. Tohru was more disgusted in the anime, but it appears less realistic in the manga…she didn’t really run away. Plus, unlike the anime, Yuuki wasn’t with Tohru convincing Kyou either. Just a little odd… stuff were switched around. Only after Tohru accepted Kyou, the next chapter was showing Kyou and his master’s relationship and then he leaves. Of course, the chapter afterwards..Tohru doesn’t confront Akito..lol –it isn’t the end - Instead, they put the episode in the anime where they visit Ayame’s shop.

Interesting,.. but I dont like that very much.. all the Kyou stuff at the end *spoiler warning* was suppose to be significant in my opinion.. making that just in the middle of no where seems to lessen its significance.. I liked those extra parts in the anime... >.> Like Yuki and all that.. You mean Shigure?
