SPOILER around ep 23/24 Honda is (vomiting?) by a tree and Shigure pleads her to not continue on.... I seem to think that Shigure wasn't really different before he meet Honda (1st ep) but that's just my opinion I thought that was Akito or Kyo's mater..I don't remember Shigure being there...o maybe i just forgot..

I'm wondering...do you guys notice that Yuuki and Akito kinda look alike? I was kinda shocked to see the preview of the next episode when Akito goes to their school. I thought there were two Yuuki (other part of him- evil one or something). Why do you guys think the author made them both..kinda alike. What's the relationship between Akito and Yuuki? Do they actually explain it? Why is there some werid feeling that Akito likes or maybe even love Yuuki?

That's freaky... but that makes the story more interesting ^^ Fans like us start to get curious.... and then maybe we will find out once we buy the manga..lol In fact; most characters look a like... Yuuki looks a bit like Shigure in that image too.. Same goes to Kyou's master..

Do you mean this one, or something else?: Cause Yuuki and Shigure aren't in it. That's Akito and Hatori... don't you think that akito's voice is so gay? sounds like a girl the first time i heard it i was liek was that a girl who just spoke? [/img] Yeh, the voice sounds really werid and croaky. Sounds like a total jerk. Suites him though, don't you think? lol

Yeh...Fruits Basket is a really meaningful anime with heaps of mysteries behind that I don't feel are answered or addressed, and the conclusion doesn't feel like one.....wish they could tell us more! What do you guys think of Tohru and the riceball (onigiri)? I think it's so symbolic. Tohru first realizes she doesn't fit in with the world in kindergarten when all of her classmates begin playing a game called Fruits Basket, which is popular in Japan for young kids. A fruit is assigned to each person, and then they all run around and scream the fruits names or something. It's supposed to be similar to tag or musical chairs. However, whenever they were giving everyone their fruits, they called Tohru "onigiri." As Tohru sat there happily waiting to be called, she didn't even realize that there was a fun looking game going on in front of her and she wasn't even part of it. Reflecting on it, Tohru says "A riceball does not belong in a Fruits Basket." This expression holds a lot of meaning for Tohru. She is thinking about this while she packs up to leave the Soumas, and thinking about how she does not fit in with the Soumas or with any of her classmates. In episode 5 when Kyo and Yuki come back for her, Tohru feels as though she finally belongs, as though someone has called "Onigiri!" back in kindergarten and she has finally gotten her turn to play. The riceball continually pops up during the anime, and at one point Tohru says "my life sure does have a lot to do with onigiri." Riceballs are Tohru's specialty, in fact. Onigiri, Tohru's symbol, is a food. I found out from broswing the net that the food is nourishing and helps people thrive and grow, as does Tohru. Onigiri is a common and basic food, but it is delicious and often eaten. I think this may say a little something about Tohru's motherly and nourishing nature. What other symbols are used in Fruits Basket?

That's so sweet ^^;; Tohru does bring a lot of 'happiness' into the Souhma family. I think the title 'fruits Basket' is very meaningful, and not so straight forward like "Sailormoon" or "Inuyasha". Interesting stuff you have there DS

lol, it's been a while till I rewatched the last episodes of Fruits Basket, but after watching it, I'm more convinced that the person I talked of before (in the 2nd last episode - who appears after Akito leaves Honda) is Shigure not Kyo's master. The fringe is the same, darker hair and sounds like him too, I'd post up a screen shot but windows XP doesn't allow me to do this.
