With a sudden burst of an idea thanks to Jen's new banner with the sprites of Belldandy (and my Gato^^)
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a joint Art project titled "Let the Battle BEGIN!"
Choosing two character for each piece, we draw the two RPG characters in a battle pose. Much like an arcade game, the two character will be full bodied and in attack-like poses (with weapons or magical power).
Now, we would need a few people to work on this, artist, colorist and well, backgroundist.
If you're interested comment and we can make a line of RPG Battle pictures, that will be very amusing, since we can pair up random people...
Like Yui and Luke^^

ooo~ everyone can draw their own character or others and we'll put them all together. I wonder if everyone's up to it? I find the idea interesting

Oh I did something like this before. It was alot of fun and suprises seeing what everyone came up with but the end product was err...eheh..not the best. As Chibi mentioned it's alot harder then you'd think the make the scaling, styles and poses fit into one piece of work. Fun for sure but very hard to coordinate unless you have a whole bunch of high level artists. If you want something just really pretty to look at in the end might wanna consider having one job per person, like one does all the lines, one does all the colours, etc..

we could determine all the measurements beforehand. eg. rough scale graph, each character's dimensions determined...
A montage of different styles could be interesting

Well on a critical level it rarely looks good, I mean style is style you need to have to same groove for it mesh. But again it really depends what kind of end product or project you want to create.

I think Digilee is pretty much looking for something fun to try and have something to see at the end. I don't think its anything like... "WOW" in terms of a great image at the end (with consistent style)- we're very aware the style will be different

I think Pixel work would work perfectly actually...
We all pick the same base and get each other (since pixel work is getting so popular) and then just put them together. It will be neat.
If everyone wants to help in.

Lol, have we found any cool bases to use yet? I think the idea is still cool; I've also got a picture of Yui in battle pose, so if anyone wants to draw their character on the other side, that's fine too XD

I guess I might give it a try too if there's a base.
