I just got back from Animania today, kinda tired..left at 5:00 after the cosplay parade, but couldn’t be bothered to wait another 1/2 hr for the results. I’d say the day was kinda boring..there ain’t much to do and all..I didn’t buy anything either.. The best thing about today was probably the cosplayers, they were quite good, but my camera ran out of batteries 1/2 way so =\ There were heaps of Final Fantasy ones..(plus advent children)^_^ There was one of Tifa and Yuffie from Advent Children, but missed their pic…uhm..Vincent, Cid , Sephroth (also from AC) YuRiPa were there too <*thumbs up*>, more Rinoa and LuLu. Most prob from FFVII (perhaps due to the popularity of Advent Children) Perhaps one of the most impressive was the performance by the group of 12 from final Fantasy series. The two main characters from FFVI (I think), Cloud x Tifa, Squall x Rinoa, Zidane and Garnet, Tidus x Yuna and Shun x Lenne. ^___^ They all danced with their partner the same one Rinoa and Squall did in the game. It was so kewl..haha… They were COOL, other common one were ones from Full Metal Alchemist (dunno if I even took their pic or not cos they look alike xD). Still no Al though..ehehe.. What else was there to do..hm…I saw the Iron Artist (idea from Iron Chefs ) where they were given a topic and two teams of 3 were given ½ to produce an artwork and it happened it was Cloud (from FFVII- AC) and Pikachu. The karaoke Lounge was dull, hardly anymore was there… Saw some screenings of AMV (cos there was nothing else to do), scribbled some random pic for the art comp….hm..that’s about it? Overall I thought the day was a bit..hm..=x It was quite alrite I guess..compared to previous year's complaint, the pre-registered people moving in were alot quicker. A bit more activities may have helped the day... Dunno, perhaps I wasn’t really in the mood for it knowing my comp assn is at home waiting for me to do and all. Pictures of cosplay will be posted to the "Cosplay" Topic in the couch :

I went to animania today (sunday) and I was somewhat disappointed. There weren't many people today, and the place felt empty, there wasn't even a queue outside. The cosplays were quite good, but there wasn't a variety. I saw the pics u posted DS, and I think Saturday had a lot more cosplayers (which were more neat also) Nevertheless, I still remember myself sqealing when I saw Roy Mustang (FMA) and Vincent (FFVII AC) walk through the door XD ehehee... Plus, I went super crazy when I saw a Al Plushie , bought it without much thought either ^^ I was happy. Anyhows, there weren't enough activities to keep us busy, which I found was a downturn. Like I said earlier, there wasn't a variety in cosplays, mostly being from Bleach, FMA, FFVII AC and Naruto (There were quite a lot of doubles of the same character) The Karaoke Comp thing was funny XD A friend entered, and he sorta forgot his lyrics for a part of "Fly me to the Moon' but still got a good response from the audience ehehe.. The art comp (doodling) was alright, they had a lot of great artists drawing which was great. I also met up with a few others I've known from the net, which was pleasant There was games downstairs, but I didn't play any except try the ddr...errr.. That was disasterous...LOL.. but it was good fun..(hehee) Overall though... It was a little quiet (and not much to see). I don't regret paying $20 to go, but I still had hoped it was a little more exciting. My friends didn't seem to enjoy it much, which makes me feel bad, since it was me who convinced them to come. EDIT: I've post up some pics I took of the cosplay in the Cosplay Topic

Animania 2006- Sydney August pre-registration is up: More details, visit: animania.net.au/sydneyaugLooks like his year there's gonna be two- one at August, and one at Sep30-Oct1 (I don't remember there being two last year xD) but yeh..August one looks smaller (and I think it'd be cheaper too) Anyone know if the August one would be worth going to or not? Anyone planning to go to the conventios this year?

I'm going to the Mini -Animania..got a friend to pre-register for it. Not sure if I'll go to the big one at Sept-Oct, but this one is cheaper and around Week 3 (August 12) of uni, which I'm sure there would be more time compared to later in the semester. Despite being smaller, I hope it would still be good fun =)
