I found this information, it's held in Sydney Australia.
------------------ It's that time of the year again and AnimeUNSW, SUAnime, Anime@UTS, JAUWS and AnimeMQ have all teamed up to bring you the 2004 Anime Christmas Party!
Who: Anyone and everyone. You needn't be a member of one of the aforementioned clubs, but it helps. Members entry will cost $5, whereas non-member entry will cost $10 What: Cosplay! Trivia! Screenings! Stage Events! A Buffet Dinner! And of course, a Dance Party! When: Saturday, 4th December @ 6pm to 1am Where: UTS Tower Building, Level 7, Gallery Function Center Why: To celebrate the end of year, end of semester and of course, Christmas! Holidays!
Come along and have some fun to wrap up the end of 2004. Kick back, watch some anime, be entertained! If that weren't enough, you also still get fed! Later on, when you're in the mood to bust your moves, join in on the dance party, running from 11pm to the early hours of the morning. ------------------

I just got back from the Anime Xmas Party ^^;; The event overall was alright, but it wasn't the best. We were really happy to actually get a ticket at the door, but there was a long wait cause the actual tickets were all sold out >.< But yes... WE GOT IN on time The highlights of the night was probably meeting new people...everyone there were Uni students..lol It had a very nice environment, and people were generally very nice. The anime Trivia was funny, and the bands playing music were really good. They played Suteki Dane (from FFX). Yes.. there were cosplays too.. unfortunately, nearly all of them were the same people who went to Animania.. like the Angelic Layer Team, Auron and Lenne etc. ooo... but there was Gippel (From FFX-2) and that was a cool costume. I had hoped there would be more cosplayers.. Instead of anime screening.. they end up just showing Anime Music Videos. Kinda disappointing. The food was quite good- a buffet~ with full meal and dessert. The Dance party at the end was.... weird You cant dance to the sort of music which was played.. There were also drawing boards, and lots of people drew pictures which looked VERY GOOD

Yup That basically sums up the night . Yeh, even though I missed out on Animania, I saw pics of them before I was recording some of the stuff on my digital camera and I got really disappointed when I accidentally deleted the skit performed by Angelic Layer Group

I couldnt even see the skits properly because of where my table was- and I was too lazy to move around and stand up. The whole night was basically held while we were at our tables of 8, eating while watching the events.
It had a very nice Xmas feel to the whole thing.. with people dressed as santas, and giving candy canes and anime cards.

www.eminenceonline.com/This isn't exactly an Anime convention, but I think it can still fit nicely in this topic I went to Piano Stories last Friday (15 April) at Conservatorium of Music. It was basically a mini music concert/preformance, where they had musicans play music from different anime. I was my first visit and I found it worth going. Did anyone else go?
