I saw all the Sailor Moon movies, Tenchi Muyo movies, the second Cardcaptor Sakura movie, the first and second Inuyasha movie, one Slayers movie, some DBZ movies, the Samurai X (Rurouni Kenshin) movie, Kiki's Delivery Service and Princess Mononoke. Wow I saw a lot lol. My favorite anime movie has to be Tenchi Muyo in Love. I like it because it was the first anime movie I saw.

mmmm.... Just watching 'Appleseed' right now... I am completely blown away by the graphics of this film... It's computer generated, like the final fantasy movies, but it's cell shaded and it looks stunning. Especially the eyes. The start is just mindblowing. I'm watching the dub, but i have it on dvd, so later tonight i'll watch the japanese version with subs. AppleseedAi Kobayashi .... Deunan (voice) Jûrôta Kosugi .... Briareos (voice) Yuki Matsuoka .... Hitomi (voice) Asumi Miwa .... Deunan (motion actor) Akimoto Tsubasa .... Deunan (motion actor) rest of cast listed alphabetically: Yuzuru Fujimoto .... Uranus (voice) Tomoko Kawakami Mami Koyama .... Athena (voice) Takehito Koyasu .... Hades (voice) Toshiyuki Morikawa .... Yoshitsune (voice) Ikuo Nishikawa .... Seven Old Men (voice) Kirsty Pape .... Hitomi (voice: English version) (as Mia Bradly) Jamieson Price .... Briareos (voice: English version) (as James Lyon) Emi Shinohara .... (voice) Amanda Winn Lee .... Deunan Knute (voice: English version) (as Jennifer Proud) 'Following Deunan Knute, a tough and determined soldier who for some time roamed the badlands, her policing and military experience as her only means of survival. Always a person capable of fighting with all of her will regardless of any given situation, Deunan is a woman to be reckoned with. In the year 2131, the planet once referred to as the beautiful earth has now become wasteland of barren deserts and abandoned wildernesses; war has plagued many a nation by now, and it shows. Although the war has initially ended, many soldiers nevertheless still battle on due to a lack of communication to those in the field, and Deunan just so happens to be one of those soldiers. The situation appears even more and more grim for those stranded on the outskirts of the earth; fortunately, Deunan is rescued from this endless cycle of an ignorant war by a few good friends, or at least, that's what she hopes. Taken out of the badlands and to the utopian city and metropolis of Olympus, her situation of survival suddenly and drastically switches to one of adaptation. What does this new and nearly perfect city hold for former soldiers? Does an environment where everything is near perfect and fine-tuned for the average person an adequate social system for one so accustomed to violence? More than half of the population of Olympus consists of Bioroids, genetically engineered individuals whom although first crafted to aid humanity, have been imagined and thought to be holding a grudge against the species. The peace of the city often lies in the fact that most of its citizenry is relatively ignorant of what human struggle is. Does this really embody a society with fewer flaws, or does it represent a system of beliefs and ideals forcibly contrived far too much? Deunan must answer these questions as she confronts the ethicality of the Bioroids--cloned humans--and the emotionality of her relationship with Briareos, an ex-lover of hers whom due to serious injuries is now a three-quarter cyborg. Deunan now begins to enter an all-new war... one of emotional endurance, of perception and objectivity, and perhaps even a war of principle as well. ' (plot from www.animationinsider.net/article.php?articleID=464 ) It really is an outstanding film, parts are sad and make me cry (not that this is a difficult thing to do) but it's the action scenes that just leave you open-mouthed. I highly recommend you see this. Deunan Edit: More pics... these are from elysian-anime.net (the one above was a screencap made by me) Deunan and Hitomi Athena and Nike Hitomi's car (want one!!)

Haven't seen any anime movies lately... I kind of wish they actually had a cinema for Japanese anime in Australia, at least I'll know what's new and about. I tend to find anime movies that become part of an actual series much more interesting to see. oh yeh, Inuyasha Movie 3 was awesome! Contains lots of spoilers if you haven't gone way into the anime.

I watched Howl's Moving Castle yesterday (in english) and I thought it was quite enjoyable. Some parts were a little odd, sometimes a lot more magical (when compared to My Neighbour Totoro), but the idea is quite good. I like the little details in the movie~ Favourite character would have to be calcifer- the fire demon because he's funny..hahah..Has anyone else seen it? Sophie HatterEldest daughter of the Hatters’ family. Starting out with not knowing what to do with her young life, she befriends Howl. And the Witch of the Waste, jealous of their friendship, casts a spell on Sophie, turning her into a 90-year-old woman. After moving into Howl’s castle, her love for him makes her turn young at certain times. HowlThe handsome yet mysterious master of the moving castle. Going by the names Jenkins, Pendragon, and of course Howl, he doesn’t respond to the calls of the royal palace, though he possesses great powers. He spends the rest of his days amusing himself. CalciferHowl’s fire demon, who also holds Howl’s heart. He is the one moving the castle, and is bound on the fireplace by a contract he made with Howl. Making a deal with Sophie, he says that if Sophie breaks the contract, he will turn her into her normal self. MarklHowl’s apprentice. He does not have a family, and lives in the moving castle, and deals with the people who come to order potions. Witch of the WasteA witch who wants to pursue Howl. She had once served at the Royal Palace in Kingsbury, but was sent away and now lives in the Wastes. Turnip HeadA scarecrow with a turnip for a head that Sophie saves in the Wastes, and wanting to return the favor, he follows her around. HeenAn odd dog who follows Sophie around. He is Madame Sulliman’s errand dog. Source=http://www.onlineghibli.com/howls_castle/char.php= = =

Howl's Moving Castle is actually quite good. It's just that, at times I got confused as to if she was old or not. XD I mean, randomly they show her as young, but then she's really still old. XD
*perhaps a spoiler*
but, at the end, where Sophie all of a sudden goes back in time, and sees Howl selling his heart to calcifer or something...she knew how to save Howl. I didn't quite get that. All she did was give Howl's heart back to Howl...right? or...is there more to it?

XD That's the explantion they gave from the description above ^^ but yeh, when she was confronting the lady defending Howl it shows her turning young, I thought her spell was broken (guess not ^^ I was quite confused through the movie lol, like I didn't know Howl can see through Sophie's 90year old form.. later I came to think they show Sophie young at times because the creators wanted to draw her pretty(showing her if she wasn't old, because it still really is her) lol...I don't recall that part at all o.0 (wonder what I was watching lol) The end part was confusing, and eventually the war was over and happily ever after o.o? XD From what you've said..maybe selling his heart to calcifer casted the spell on him ..I thought Calcifier was his heart tho..
