Umm.. that's what happens when you wanna collect the whole thing of Inuyasha ... I'm only up to volume 18...lol... and that's nowhere near the end.. By the way, I've been wanting to buy the manga Fushigi Yugi for a while now.. is it the same as the anime? Because I dont have access to the anime, and the manga of Ayashi no Ceres was really good. I thought another one by Yuu Watase would be good. The only other downturn in this is that the store doesnt have all of them.. like somce volumes are missing..such as vol 1.

I've got a lot more recommendations now. ^_^" Well, I've already said Fushigi Yugi, so that's a definate buy if you like Yu Watase.
And Imadoki ^_^" Love Hina and Negima would be good to buy also, though Love Hina is quite a long series. It's about as long as Fruits Basket...I think, 14 volumes, so that's quite a lot. Fruits Basket! ^_^" hehe, Chibi Jen kinda persuaded me to buy more, though I had it in mind already. lol...
and, if you like Clamp, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles or XXXholic, though I wouldn't recommend XXXholic if it didn't intertwine with Tsubasa.

Lotsa people seem to like shoujo here, out of what I know and hasn't been mentioned,
Love Monster: Don't think this is licensed but has real pretty character, a bit more so then usual even. Story's kinda predictable but it's not overly dramatic which is a good thing if you ask me.
Kodocha: Probably my favourite shoujo, mainly since it's mostly funny. Still shoujo-ish but also pretty whacky, it's long but flows well.
Mars: Ahhh so gooey, I don't like it but I've read it and I don't know a girl who doesn't like to so...yeah....
KareKano: Once again is more light hearted then most and funny, but still has a nice lovelove stuff going on. Nice and fun, does leave your brain too mangled after.
Marmalade Boy: Another light hearted one, predictable, short but I read it all at once so it's entertaining.
Berserk: Okay is in no way shoujo, but I love it to death most favourite manga ever <3<3<3

Thanks for the recommendations Blox ^^ I've never heard of: Love Monster I've seen images of the characters from Kodocha before, but again- never read it. Mars sounds good... I've heard of it, but never knew anything about it. KareKano seems to have neat looking characters. The anime any good?

The Kare Kano anime is pretty much animated manga, which is a good thing in my opinion. However it doesn't finish off properly so you'll still end up having to read the manga if you want to get to 'proper' end. Either way is just as good if you ask me, just read/watch whatever is easiest to get you hands one. Both are licensed so it's about the same if you're inclined to buy it, otherwise find a friend who got the fansubs ages ago if you just wanna see what it's like first. It is nice and fun like I said, I'd recommend it over the rest but Kodocha. Then again if you like those with deep relationship/soap oprea-ish issues then go for Mars, I really think the eyes are drawn creepily in it though not very pretty for me. But hey I'm not a girl XP

I think Searching for the Full Moon is a nice shojo. I'd recomend One Piece too, eventhough i only read 1 chapter of it. But I've seen the anime.

ahh! that really annoys me!! I've only just bought the Ranma 1/2 manga cause they didn't have vol 1 in anywhere I looked for aaaages!! (there are sooo many volumes of Ranma 1/2!!!) I also want to read Angel Sanctuary but I can only find vol 6... same with Ah! My Goddess, starts from 4 I think... I think you might be able to request volumes from stores though... might have to do that with Fruits Basket...

Ranma1/2 is a good read As long as you know the characters and the actual plot of the story- you can pretty much read any vol of the series, and enjoy it a lot Cause the flow in the story isn't really important... its just interaction between the characters, and a good laugh

lol I know the basic plot outline of Ranma 1/2, and I will read the first volume (now I finally have it) when I have finished the volumes of Othello I have... but since I read Fruits Basket in about an hour, I'll probably have read them all by tomorrow, lol

I'm thinking of collecting a new manga series along side Zettai kareshi (Absolute Boyfriend) cause that's taking ..a while..lol.. and was thinking of another Shoujo by Yuu Watase.. any recommendations of something short though? I seem to get sucked into the trap of starting to collect long series and then realise its just costing me way too much, lol.

Try Yume Kira Dream Shoppe. It's only one volume and the artwork is very nice.
