Young brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric attempted to use alchemy to bring their mother back to life. The transmutation failed, and the cost to their own bodies was far too great. Now they have vowed to take everything back!
Just wondering if anyone's ever seen this anime or read this manga. ^_^
It's quickly become one of my favorite mangas, and I really wish I could watch the anime.
I'll be sure to post pictures of Al and Ed later, too. ^_~

My friend has given me ep 17- 27 of that anime, but it'll be kind of odd watching it starting at ep 17 (I wouldn't get much) so it's just sitting in my computer untill I get the other episodes... I think it's quite new (maybe the episodes are still going on in Japan? but I have no idea...) Alot of people say it's pretty good... the manga is out? How much of it is there? only the first few ones or has the manga finished already?

I've seen up to about episode 30 something and it was really interesting. Really good in my opinion. I reckon it was kinda confusing near the beginning when they went a few years back. Has any of the manga or anime came out yet?

No, neither the anime or manga are licensesned yet by any American company, so it's compleatly legal to download them. ^_^ I'm currently downloading the manga from here: www.toriyamaworld.com/They only have up to Volume 4 in the manga though, and there's 7 out in Japan. But the quality of how they translated it is very nice. -nods-

I watched abit of an episode of FMA (think it was 11) and found it quite interesting... Al or Ed (can't remember which one) is a robot... and sounded like a girl to me... but of course he's a male. I like how they clap and perform magic and how (I think) each one specialises in a kind of element - one boy was controlling the trees and nature, after chalking in a magically symbol- controlling it and causing it to grow.

Al (Alphonse) is the 'robot'. Actually, Al lost his body when he and his brother tried some alchemy that was too strong for them, and Ed transferred Al's soul into a suit of armor. -nods- He sounds like a girl because he's the younger of the two brothers.
Ed lost his right leg in that same use of alchemy and then sacrificed his own arm to use to transfer Al's soul into the suit of armor, so now Ed has an arm and leg made of metal.
And the claping that you saw is something that only Ed can do because he's so skilled in Alchemy.
Normally, an alchemist has to draw a circle on the ground (or what ever item they want to change) in order for the alchemy to be able to go right. But Ed makes a circle-like shape with his hands instead.
-blink- Was any of that too confusing?

too at all! ;D although I didn't really see Ed's metalic arm and leg properly... (must watch out for it next time) the main problem is that I haven't seen the 1st few episodes (which I'll try and get somewhere) however, I understand everything you said. The little boy I spoke of was drawing some sort of circle on that tree before perform his magic. That's quite cool how Ed doesn't have to

That Tucker dude is sick... >.<
The bad guys are pretty cool. Lust, Gluttony and Envy ^^ They look like some good antagonists.
And that Scar guy... scary.

Yeah, Lust, Gluttony and Envy are some cool antagonists. ^_^ I think I like Envy the best though...the power to turn into differnet people? Totaly awsome.
Scar's...well, unique, I guess. I don't really hate him, but don't like him either.
And I got a little queasy when I saw what Tucker did to his wife, daughter and dog. And that's saying a lot, because I don't get queasy often. >_<" But it was just...wrong, what he did.

Lt. Colonel Hughes and Mjr Armstong are hilarious!
I like Envy as well; wicked hairstyle ^^
True about Tucker... is sick... at least he burns in hell... hehe... lol
Winry, I like (I thought that was a guys name... but then again?)
I think I'll need to find a way to get the series... *runs to track down my anime source...*

Yeah, they are! They add a little bit of humor into it, which is nice considering all the bad stuff that keeps happening. Keeps the whole manga from becoming amazingly depressing. (Then again, there's always the fact that people bug Ed about his height...XD) Heh, yeah. I Envy's hair's style's awsome too. But at first I wasn't quite sure if he was a guy or girl...and I suppose that you still can't tell because Envy can always change the way he/she look. I've seen the name Winry used for boys and girls (mainly boys) but I suppose even if it is a boy name, it fits her because she's so tomboy-ish, being an automail mechanic and all. I use to have a link to a place where you could download the episodes, but you had to have Bittorrent to do it, so I deleted the link. >_<" I hope someone licenses Fullmetal Alchemist (the manga) because reading it off the computer is never the same as holding it in your hands. But maybe that's just me. EDIT: I found a site that has a bunch more scanilations! ^_^ Clickie!

Actually, it's more like yay for me and my obsession with FMA. I was starting to feel amazingly deprived, and went on a crazy scanilation hunt. It was almost scary...
