Thank you ConstantlyInsane, did you watch all your episodes on TV or bought the video/dvd yourself? I've watched them on the TV. I'm too poor to buy them for myself.

lol. ^__^" Yeah, I'm too poor to buy the whole thing too. I found this place that had the whole two seasons on VCD, but for 160 Canadian dollars....actually, I don't think that's that bad...which would be about $119.95 in US....still a lot though....but, it was in Cantonese...^__^"

It's still nice that you've gotten so much further into the anime... As you can see, I also only watch it on TV, but I'm still so early in the anime...

I also haven't been able to watch Yugioh from the beginning, although I saw a bit in chinese, the pictures weren't as good (as expected) and there was another classmate friend of Yugi but she doesn't appear in the later episodes anymore, I have no idea her name. I'm also playing The Eternal Duelist Soul, however, you have to beat some players 20 times which can be quite time consuming... Pegasus is one of the players you can duel with near the end of the game, but he's not that strong... the toon world deck is weaken really badly compared to the anime, you must pay 1000 life points to play toonworld, you pay 500 life points each turn toon world is in play, they cannot attack in the turn they are summoned, and you again pay life points for them to attack.... Obvious weaknesses include- nothing works if you don't draw toon world and everything is gone if toonworld is destroyed....

Yeah, the Toon World set is pretty bad. My brother had it for a while and only got to use it once (he'd never have enough life points, wouldn't have the right cards out, etc.). He traded it away after a while.

In the anime, the monsters can come first and then get turned to toons- although I'm not really sure what's so special about them ie what makes them different to normal monsters other than the looks, in the real cards, they are special in that they are practically unblockable but that lead to all the disadvantages......

I'd just like to confirm that this thread should be about the anime Yugioh. I know we have been a bit off track sometimes but I'll try not to do it again. It's ok to compare gameplay with the anime but if it's solely about the game, then it should be in the "games" section, so post there if you want to talk precisely about the game and if there's enough discussion, then it'll have a thread on it's own

lolz. whoops...^__^" Well, anyways, with the toon card, it's just that even if they are attacked, they couldn't be destroyed....but, I'm not exactly sure how that works out...^__^" But, what would the disadvantages of that be then?

hm.... I didn't get a careful look at the duel between Pegasus and Kaiba except I think at one time when Pegasus had a toon monster with the same attack as one of Kaiba's monsters but the toon survived..... so they're invincible? In the anime, they can also hide in the book and the book is also invincible? sounds too good- and I don't really think there's a disadvantage in the anime... I can't remember how Yugi defeated the toons...

Well, I found thta episode that I taped. Just so happens that Yugi used his Living arrow card to fuse with Pegasus's magical neutralizing card, that was already in play to fire at toon world. When Pegasus fired his attack, it would be too late for Dark Magician to block. But because of yugi's Mirror force card, it deflected the attack back at Pegasus's monsters that aren't toons anymore....hope that helps...^__^"
