Tetsusaiga can slay 100 demons in a single swing, Tensaiga's stroke can save 100 souls... Your choice- and Why? Tetsusaiga, the one Inuyasha holds... Tenseiga, the one Sesshoumaru holds....

I personally like Tensaiga. It heals and saves lives... Not like I need a blade to kill anyone, anytime soon...lol If you're talking about the swords in terms of the story, and living in that era, I probably would still go for Tensaiga.

I would pick the Tetsusaiga because the Tenseiga could not save your live if you were danger. The Tetsusaiga allows you to defend yourself in battle.

Tenseiga could not save your live if you were danger. Yeah it can. Tensaiga protected Sesshoumaru's life- remember? But then again.. the Tetsusaiga protected Inuyasha's life more than several times. I wonder if the shaft of Tensaiga can protect as well?

XD I was thinking the same thing. I don't plan on killing anyone any time soon so... Maybe healing people would be fun and I can swing a sword around without splattering blood and then going to jail XD

I was thinking, when Tetsusaiga was broken and the sword was reforged with Inuyasha's own fang, how come it does the same thing as his father's fang? Like, apart from it being heavy at first, the same attacks are used.. Is the whole blade entirely Inuyasha's? If so, why is it still referred to, as their father's blade?

I voted for Tetsusaiga because well... i agree with Jess-chan and well if you don't have a good heart Tensaiga is equal to nothing. Hmm... it's really weird it that Sesshoumaru got it.

The Tetsusaiga
Why? Because the Tensaiga was only given to Sesshomarru to force him to care about humans. That was his father's master plan in giving him that, or so I believe. *Looks at his relationship with Rin* looks like it worked...sorta
anyway, the Tensaiga is great for helping others, but useless for helping yourself. You can't use it to bring yourself back to life, because you're already dead.
The Tetsusaiga, on the other hand, is an extremely powerful weapon with many uses. Not only does it hit hard, it also can, as you said, kill 100 demons in one stroke, and it can also break through demon barriers (such as the one around Naraku's castle, *wink, wink*) after it drank of the blood of something that could make a barrier

I watched an episode where Sesshoumaru uses the Tensaiga to kill the leader of the Cats clan.. I thought that was pretty cool ^_^ Pretty useful against the undead as well..

Anyone that's played an RPG of some sort knows that slaying > healing. Offensive power is the best defense.

Tetsusaiga: (definately in rpgs - reviving characters all day is not going to defeat the boss) It looks like it can only save souls that have recently been killed, or kills the undeads that are taking the soul away. Plus the only real use of Tensaiga is using it 'after' Tetsusaiga. You can only heal what's dead. Furthermore, after it's used, nothing has changed - Tetsusaiga can cause change. Another thing is that Tensaiga shouldn't work on people who die of old age (I disagreeumption again) because they wouldn't last long anyway. It can't heal (can it?) only revive - so during battle there isn't much use - mainly after. Hm... so Tetsusaiga can't slay a 100 humans - only demons?

Hm... so Tetsusaiga can't slay a 100 humans - only demons? Well.. the Tetsuaiga wasn't meant to be used to kill humans ^^; Their father used to the sword to protect Inuyasha's mother. That's why Sesshoumaru couldnt wield the sword, because he does not have the desire to protect another human ~ which is the whole point as to why their father did not give the sword to Sesshoumaru (though he seems to protect Rin XD). Not much point knowing the sword can kill 100 humans... esp in this anime/manga, killing humans seem too easy <.<

What if you wanted to protect someone from an army or group of bandits (say 100?? )?

Or if you just wanted to slay a hunderd people and steal their loots! If there's one thing I find 'funny' about Inuyahsa is the ammout of random villagers that get slain. I'm all for that actually there's too many shows that pull punches but it kinda makes me wonder how any local populace survive. I'm pretty sure at least half of the country died out during the series..
On thing I dun get about the life giving sword either is that it just stops to soul of the victim from being dragged off by those black lil evil doods, so bascially all it does it kill spritual undertakers. I don't see how that would help the physical body recover any fatal injuries.
