Aww..I haven't even watched the anime episodes of Inuyasha (only watched 3), and I really want to watch the movie Anyone watched it? No spoilers plz Here are some facts on Movie1: Inu Yasha been popular enough to warrant a theatrical movie. First movie came out Dec 15, 2001 in theatres in Japan. Movie title is "Toki wo Koeru Omoi" (Affections Touching Across Time)Storyline is completely different to the TV series (no focus on the Shikon Jewel). 3 youkai are the mainnew enemies : Menoumaru (voiced by Seki Tomokau), Hari (Kamikawa Tomoko) and Ruri (Shiina Hekiru).Song in the film is by Ayumi Hamasaki, "No More Words" (movie soundtrack came out Dec 12, 2001). First movie DVD came out in August, '02. Better still, a SECOND movie came out Dec 21, 2002. Title is "Kagami no Naka no Mugen Jyou" (Illusionary Castle in the Looking Glass (Mirror))Main story has something to do with the popular Japanese folktale, "Taketori Monogatari".The enemy seems to be the princess who went back to the moon (in Taketori). Movie E.L.T. (Every Little Thing) is doing the song.

I've seen the first two movies.
The first one might be better if one hasn't seen too many episodes yet, as character development in those episodes renders the movie a bit odd.
The second film introduces characters that later appear in the series (around episode 135 or so) with very little information. I don't recall right now how much it relies on development in the episodes.

^-^ I finished watching two of them today!! I absolutely loved them!!!!!! The first movie was really good, in terms of character development Nice touches, and some romances.. ^-^ I think it was really good, especially because I havent watched much episodes- but they introduce the characters nicely, and give a very briefy explanation of the story.. I really enjoyed it, except the battle went on a 'little' longer... BUT it's all coool I'm just wondering, where does this movie fit in with the series? Like what seasons should we have watched? I loved the 2nd movie even more~ Sooooo romantic...^-^ However, I was really scared I'll be walking into spoilers, because I havent watched much of the season. Fortunately, I've read enough manga, to know the villains such as Naraku, Kagura, Hanna...so that was good.... But that was like volume 16... and jdeyke said something about episode 135? I donno.... The movie starts off already into the battle.. with existing enemies..However, if you missed the moive, it's okay- because it doesnt actually change the overall story

Ooooo...I watched the movie 1 and 2 too I totally love it, even though I have only watched 3 episodes of it. I like the second movie better. Too many bugs in the first one. I think by watching the movies, i understand a lot about the anime ^_^ I love all the characters- Shippou is SO adorable.... and yes, the movie is very romantic... For some funny reason, Sesshomaru and kikyou seem out of place ?? <aren't they so cute together >
