You know how when Belldandy drinks Alcohol; she doesn't get drunk? Why is it that she gets tipsy when she drinks Coke? Since she is the Goddess of the present, does that kind of show that Coke is no good for you? XD; Post here any questions you may have, or issues you'd like to discuss about in terms of AMG

I think it was just something for a little fun. Just for the humour and not much else... in my opinion I'm wondering (not sure if I asked this already. I probably have but if so I haven't gotten an satisfactory answer so I'll ask again) Goddess' should be divine and perfect right? it's how we imagine them. However, Belldandy seems to be the only real goddess... Reasons for Skuld and Urd not being perfect is probably Skuld is not old enough and Urd is half- demon (or that they're both second class) In the manga, we see Urd acting just like Belldandy when she's full goddess so.... the main question is... what about Peorth? she's a goddess first class, not young and immature, full goddess, yet she's.... not like Belldandy. Why is that? (quite a hard question I know it's probably some delimma with the storyline and what Fujushima wanted)

Now.. Peorth is a strange one I really like seeing her leadership as a Goddess First Class~ when she fixed some problems that were occuring in the Earth. The manga (and well.. anime) depicts her character as very strong. She is more strong than both Skuld and Urd- something you'd expect from a Goddess First Class~ but then she goes "seducing (?)" Keiichi- as part of her "contract"? What the heck is that for?! Goddesses don't do that... I mean; what was she thinking? It showed no sign of that in the Movie.. and only her serious nature. However, because of that, she doesn't seem as interesting of a character than in the manga- where she has a different and 'not so serious' attitude to things... Does Goddess First Class really mean 'pure' and 'goodness'? That's probably what we all would believe... that's what Belldandy represents. Maybe it also only means leadership qualities; and capabilities in controlling their power Peorth does show these qualities... and her feelings towards keiichi aren't that real anyway...(I hope) That chapter in the Manga ended quite well... (although exaggerated at many times, with her overdoing it to Keiichi) We can see that Peorth was really nice to Belldandy (when they showed the flashback to when the were fixing the bug) It was only after that she seemed to have grudges against Belldandy. hmm.. I seem to be going in circles.. did I lose anyone?

I haven't read the manga, so I actually don't know how things operate in there, so these thoughts are just based on what you guys have said & the anime I think thats the whole point of her character, to portray Belldandy as the real goddess. Totally unreplaceable. By their differences it seems that the story is trying to say that not all goddesses are perfect and only have their position as goddesses by birth. Maybe the goddesses are actually pure and have a really nice personality on the inside. I tend to think that this is much reflected in their angels. (Inner self?) She's like that in the manga? I didn't know Goddesses were supposed to be deceptive, or untruthful. (If she is, that's what I assumed by what you said) What do you exactly mean ChibiJen? " Feelings aren't real?"

To tell you the truth, I think the artist made Belldandy perfect... because she represents our view of a Goddess- like you said, "divine and perfect". However, Urd and Skuld were there for pure entertainment ^^;; I mean, how comedic would it be (esp Mini-goddess) if Urd and Skuld were perfect?
Belldandy is almost perfect, but at least she still has human emotions; which not only has the good parts, but also bad, like jealousy.
Poerth appears scary at times, and intimidating- but she's not really deceptive or untruthful..
I think Peorth finds Keiichi interesting... (as a human) but not exactly "in love" with him- like serious about him.
It almost seems like she only sees him as a client- and that she has a contract with him. O.o Surely she plays around with him throughout that manga volume.. but there’s no real sadness or jealousy conveyed when Keiichi is with Belldandy. We find out at the end of the chapter, that Peorth did all those things (seducing Keiichi.. and etc) so she can grant his heart’s desire. The whole way through- we’d think it meant something like her satisfying his sexual needs. In reality- she’s trying to evoke Belldandy- which she succeeds in: making Belldandy truly admit she loves Keiichi ^^ (Something Keiichi wanted to hear)
So I don’t believe she really has deep affection towards him.

Just thoughts...are there other male characters in heaven? Other than Celestin and Bell's father? I'm sure there must be... who would you guess is there? Since it is forbidden from Goddess to fall in love with a mortal (I think, correct me if I'm wrong), just seeing what would be available there.

there are some spirits.... like the plum spirit who is called a god... he and Urd used to go out... and an earth spirit that lives with Megumi...... dono if he's a god... I think he was 3rd class 'something' but forgot, he got turned into a teddy bear though by Mara In the movie there a number of 'gods' standing next to Celestin, I think it's safe to assume that there many gods in heaven with their own class rankings.
