This anime is all thanks to the one and only Kosuke Fujisima. It all started when he was making a comic strip featuring the "You're Under Arrest" characters (an eariler anime he created- no I haven't seen it). In the strip the characters pray to a goddess statue. Fujisima was so pleased with how the goddess turned out that she became the basis for Bell and inspired the A!MS series. All these pictures are from the Dark Horse comics and aren't the original manga (ones that were put in each section of a jap magazine- in this case the "Afternoon" mag.) These are pretty good since the drawings are similar to the OVAs and in english. (can't find the original ones in english yet, anyone got one?) I haven't seen Lind featured in the Dark Horse Comics yet.... What an interesting discovery ^_^ Though..I didn't think Belldandy looked that good at the begining....anyhow..moving on.. About the Dark Horse publication, I don't quite understand.. Aren't these drawings still done by Kosuke Fujisima?? So, did he make a few versions..like an original? Does the Dark Horse version story continue or fit in anywhere with the original... When you say 'original' is that the ones I've seen in Chinese? So, if that's the original...are the Dark Horse ones just a dfferent story?? Oh yeah...I haven't seen Lind yet neither...she's cool though.

"sigh" I discovered I made a fatal miskate the hard way, it seems the Dark Horse comics are in fact the original manga. Looking back now I wonder how I thought they weren't the original drawings from the Afternoon magazine... I guess the "thicker than manga" DH books didn't look like original manga... however I've learnt a few important lessons... Anyways since the DH comics are of different thickness to the original manga, the volume numbers are all messsed up, not that it's a big problem. I'd like to apologise with my false information if I mislead anyone. What I thought was only an assumption... I'm really sorry.

So then, what's the other series, with drawings that dont look exactly like the DH Comics? You notice how the drawings of the noses are different there?

Where would it be in retail - - did a company already sub it and release it or something? Or would I have to find the manga by... other means

Yeh, it's already in English. You can find it in most manga/comic stores~ Dark Horse Publisher. There's always Kinokuniya.. though I remember you saying before how you don't like it there, cause of the prices. I usually get my manga there. Still looking for other places to get them still...

So then, what's the other series, with drawings that dont look exactly like the DH Comics? You notice how the drawings of the noses are different there? It seems all the series come from the original manga. That site with the transformations is not complete. Later on there is another different drawing style of the characters. I'll probably have to put up some images later...

I was just wondering why Belldandy and Urd have diffrent looking hair then the various pictures I have seen? Bell's is much more stright and a large peice is kept infront of her. And Urd has streight hair two, instead of wavy/curly hair.

I dont think there's any other particular reason except the artist slowly changed their hair to make it look better ^_^ When Urd's hair is really wavy, it makes her look more funny (like her first appearance) and then afterwards it turns more straight. Belldandy's hair is pretty much the same... isn't it?

On the cover Urd's hair is really wavy but in the actual manga her hair is really straight... And Bell's hair just looks odd, but it may just be because I am use to seeing the anime hair.

I'm not following too well but it's probably just a change in drawing style. Later on it seems everyone's hair curls to an extent. The cover can display a much older drawing style to what's inside (ie a change in how the characters look). There are so many versions of each characters that this is natural.

I finally got the first volume... some one had it for like a month. And I will ask questions each time I get to one cause you guys know the answers!!!
1 - On the cover, Belldandy has grey/silver hair, was she originally going to have that colored hair, or does it change through out the book?
2 - Does Belldandy come out of a mirror? Its a little hard to tell but I was just wondering.
3 - It looks like the first chapter Belldandy's eyes are drawn diffrent compaired to the rest of the book. Is it just because they decided to change it?
And here is my personal favorite quote so far:
Morisato: A wish? For ANYTHING at all? Belldandy: Yes of course. If you want to be a billionaire we'll take care of it. If you want to destroy the world, we can do that, too. Of course we prefer to avoid doing business with those sort of people...
