A few of you have been asking about the Sailor Moon game series I've created so for those of you who don't know about it, here's some info for ya!
Sailor Moon: Destiny Revival is a five-part fan-made game series using the Beats of Rage (now OpenBoR) game engine. The Super Nintendo games are recreated and improved to include new characters, new powers, more levels, in addition to original cinematics and all-new voice talent. The ultimate goal of the "Destiny Revival" is to complete the game series with the future releases of Sailor Moon S, Sailor Moon Super S and Sailor Moon: Sailor Stars.
(Super S and Sailor Stars are still on the back burner as I attempt to figure out if I want to continue using OpenBoR for these two games)
Project features:
OpenBoR Game Engine (Ported to several systems including Sega Dreamcast, Microsoft Xbox 1, Sony Playstation Portable, and now on the Wii thanks to me!)
Sailor Moon S, Super S and Sailor Stars games (coming soon)
New enemies
New powers
New cinematics
More levels
All-new voice cast
New playable characters
Secret characters for finishing the game
Expansion packs (coming soon)
Play on your PC or home console
Two player mode support (Sailor Moon S and PGSM will support optimized 4 player gameplay)
The first game - Sailor Moon Plus was released on September 19th 2006, updated on June 9th 2007 and available for download here
The second game - Sailor Moon R Plus was released on December 17th 2007, updated on December 19th 2007 and is available for download here.
Later this year, I'll be releasing a new game in this series, Code Name: Sailor V. As the name suggests, the game is loosely based off of the manga and will feature Katarina (from SM Classic) in her 1st game appearance ever!
Also, I'm working on updating the before mentioned Sailor Moon Plus and Sailor Moon R Plus games with improved AI and features originally promised but held back due to the engine at the time of release. When Sailor V is finished, I will be working on Sailor Moon S and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, which will make up for the 4th and 5th games of the series!
All of these releases will be available to be played on the Wii as well! Rejoice party people because Sailor Moon is coming back!
