I'm just wondering how people get their anime to watch. Do you have a source? Does your source give you access to the latest anime or classics? this info has some importance since, if people can't get access to the latest anime then discussing them wouldn't last long. From the number of posts for each anime, I'm guessing most people don't have access to the newest anime but know their stuff with the main classics, but I'm not sure yet. As for me, my friends give them me a range of new and old anime- all in jap with subtitles

Usually, I download first, then buy if I like it and have the money.

Well, usually, I'd download them from anime-kraze fan subs....but...my computers really crazy right now....only watching on the tv....and have to say, not much..T__T...but they've brought some more back on the Sat. line on Cartoon Network. So, I'm happy. ^^

I usually only buy mangas, and rarely ever watch the anime. Everyonce and a while I may go over to a friends house who has the anime on TV and I'll watch it there, but I stick with the manga.

jdeyke, you only download a few eps right? because if I already downloaded it all I wouldn't bother buying the real thing (except maybe like movies) Mia- that must take a long time- I assumed people who download them from the net have cable sakura9566- isn't Cartoon Network pay tv? ConstantlyInsane- it's quite rare for people to stick to manga, (although lots of people say the mangas are more in depth) alot of people read the manga and then if they like it they watch the anime and vice versa, that's cool how you stick to just manga (I can't resist!)

Heh, well, most people don't like reading when they don't have to, so they'd pick which ever one requires less reading. I love reading! I can't get enough books and mangas. Besides, when you have the manga, you can go back and re-read or look at something if you want to. You either can't or it's harder to do that with the anime.

that true and although I don't really like reading, I love reading manga ;D Saphira12, so which one did you vote for? ie the source you use most? (should have put a voting option as " a variety") jdeyke, what dvd was it? the same thing as you downloaded or a movie/ova?

I've bought the entire series + oavs, all of which I'd already downloaded.
Unfortunately, I can't do the same for every series, as I only have a job, not a winning lottery tocket... ;-)
