They're in some animes. At the end is a special episode either offical or done by fansubbers. Mainly talking about the ones by the subbers. They take scenes from the anime and change the subtitles to make it funny. A lot of thought seems to be put into them. Anyone seen any of them?

There was a "faulty subtitles" fansub episode at the end of Peacemaker Kurogane. It was in very poor taste, but absolutely hilarious.

If you mean DVD omake specials and non-aired episodes, then yes those are great. If you're talking about 'funny' subbers, those are crap. Usually just random swearing and trash talk, even I can sub that in.

Basically where people create another story swapping the subtitles. I don't think anyone can sub them that easily. The Hikaru one was very short - not really a story, but it was... interesting Yes, I saw the Peace Maker one too... hm... but they actually didn't change any scenes and just used everyone in that one ep which I think is quite clever. (But putting scenes from different eps takes alot longer and effort) DVD omake specials and non-aired episodes? Hm... never seen one before - never knew they put those in dvds before... Random swearing? Haven't seen one of those before although the warped stories do seem kind of similar though

Japanese DVDs often come with extra goodies but are really expensive. Sometimes they're subbed.
I haven't seen these edited ones you're talking about but honestly I'm not inclined unless it's a really crappy anime. Otherwise it's just defiling a good piece of work for cheap laughs.
