english projects aren't fun. especially when you have to do it in a group. XD
So, we read a poem called "To a Sad Daughter". And we had to write a poem, as if back to the person who wrote it, her father.
To a Sad Father
Here I am
Speaking words I never thought I'd say.
"Don't worry, be happy."
When you're in your purple world,
Don’t feel lost;
For I'll always be here beside you.
Love is confusion at its worst,
I never thought it would be this way at first
So open your eyes.
See the possibilities.
Look past the confusion
I’ll be your eyes to help you see
Don't think, "I will never know
Which way to go
It’s so hard to figure out
I don’t know what it's all about"
Never give up
Never give in,
When you fall down,
Just get back up again.
You’re not over the hill yet
Don’t live your life in regret

It's kinda...bad. XD we tried to make it rhyme...haha tried, all together. You know how people say, more hands make light work, or great minds think alike? haha, doesn't work in this case. lol

I haven't posted poems..in a really long time...
Those Three words, "I Love You"
When I see your face
My heart starts to race
I can't believe this feeling is overtaking me
Why can you still not see?
I walked over to you today
I tried my best to say
What I wanted to
Those three words, "I love you"
But you don't understand
So many things getting outta hand
You told me this couldn't be true
I know, cause if it were, I'd have you
On my way out of school
You made me feel like a fool
You stopped your car in front of me
I tried my best to pretend I didn't see
You standing there with her in hand
That was too much, I couldn't stand
The thought of you with another
Perhaps I'm being too much of a bother
The next day I looked over to your face
You had a caring grin, so filled with grace
But it wasn't me that made you feel this way
It was that girl, that one, that day
You just wanted a quiet place
But you saved me and I could keep my pace
I can't believe you helped me through
And were there for me, even though you knew
That you did not feel the same
The way I wanted to play the game
Somehow my feelings turned out like this
I wish it were more, so I wouldn't miss
All the things that I wish could be
But you're so blind, you still can't see
That fact that I wanted to say to you
Those three words, "I love you"

Remembering all those things you said that day
I couldn't believe you would say

Not making a fuss, telling me that what I did was stupid and lame

The things we had that I couldn't see

How easily our conversation began to grow

Something I've wished to see for a while
I can't smile, I can't figure out why
Perhaps it's because I'm telling myself this lie

Yeah...apparently, I'm in a very depressed state, and I didn't even realize it. XD My friend told me that writing must be my output...for stress and depression, because I don't actually show it when I'm talking to someone face-to-face. ^^"

It's already been another year
Another year without you near
Wishing this year would be the one
